The
Isle of Wight is easily accessible by ferry from Portsmouth, Lymington
and Southampton. The Island boasts over 500 miles of scenic paths, through
rolling countryside and breathtaking coastlines. There are so many things
to see and do you will have to come back again!

Shanklin
beach is only a short walk from our hotel and one of the Island's
most popular seaside resorts. There are many attractions for children,
crazy golf, trampolines and a children's play park.

The
Needles Park
is situated at Alum Bay, overlooking the Island's most famous landmark,
The Needles Rocks and Lighthouse. Not only is the view from the
chairlift spectacular but you can also visit the Sand Shop, the
Sweet manufactory and the glassmakers of Alum Bay.

The
Island has a unique number of historic monuments and castles to
visit, including the magnificent Osbourne House. Step into Queen
Victorias favourite country home and experience a world unchanged
since the countrys longest reigning monarch died here 100

Of Wight Zoo in sandown.

& Falconry centre at Appuldurcombe House.

Brading
Roman Villa
is alarge Courtyard style Roman British Villa dating from the 1st
Century AD. The West Wing is under cover with fine mosaic floors
dating from the 3rd Century and exhibits from the excavations of
the 19th Century.

Visit a coastal fort built 250 ft above the sea in
1862 to prevent French invasion. Original gun barrels, comprehensive
exhibition and 200 ft tunnel with spectacular views over the Needles
rocks.

St
Catherine's Lighthouse
is situated at the Island's most southerly point, visitors are offered
guided tours of the historic lighthouse, which was built in 1840.

The
Cluniac Priory Church of St Helens was built circa 1080. After the
Alien Priories were suppressed by Henry V it became the parish church,
but the sea steadily encroached, and in the 18th Century a new church
was built further inland. Sadly all that is left of the old Priory
church is this tower.

Fort
Victoria Marine Aquarium
is situated in the remains of a Victorian fort guarding the Solent.
Most of the Aquarium contains local sea fish and invertebrates.
A separate section containings some of the amazing and beautiful
inhabitants of the tropical reefs.

The
Shipwreck Museum
is devoted to local maritime heritage. Shipwreck artefacts, ship
models, diving equipment, local lifeboat and coastal history. Videos
of underwater footage and lifeboat rescues.

Sandown
Pier
is awhole day's fun in one! Lost World adventure golf. Magic Island
fantasy and fun. Superbowl, dodgems, snake slide, amusements, cafes,
bars and whole lot more.

Godshill
Model Village contains large 1/10th scale models, many with real
thatch. tiny flower gardens, and miniature trees and shrubs.

The
Dinosaur Farm Museum
is the first port of call for new discoveries found locally. Watch
the volunteers as they clean and conserve real dinosaur bones.
